Description

Join our team this summer! This role is typically from May-August and allows you to become part of our Cathodic Protection (CP) Program. As an active team member across our nationwide program, you will have the opportunity to work outdoors during our program’s seasonal operations. As part of a nationwide maintenance program, you’ll play a key role in protecting critical infrastructure while working alongside experienced crews in a safety-focused environment.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Travel to various geographic locations to conduct CP surveys
  • Participate in annual and technical surveys
  • Carry survey equipment and perform wire picking
  • Assist with ground disturbance and test lead repairs
  • Assist with maintaining equipment (multimeters, data loggers, pipe locators, etc.) and ensuring tools are in proper working condition
  • Support the field team in operating equipment safely and in compliance with company and regulatory requirements

Qualifications
  • 0-2+ years of experience in Cathodic Protection industry is preferred
  • Strong computer skills in MS Word and Excel
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Capable of multitasking while walking (ie. Wire picking, taking readings, locating)
  • Able to work with little supervision, while adhering to the team environment is a must

Work Conditions
  • Travel extensively to work in various outdoor weather conditions
  • Walk 5+ kilometers a day in rough terrain
  • Benefits provided by CLAC
  • Monday to Friday, 8 hours per day. However, overtime and weekend work may be required
  • There is a possibility of frequent overnight stays away from home
