Ledcor is seeking a Civil and Utilities Project Coordinator to join our growing Infrastructure division, supporting the Capital Line South LRT Project. This role focuses on coordinating work activities being undertaken by the various groups on the Project, supporting the implementation of the Ground Disturbance Program and interactions with the existing and new utilities in the work areas. Essential Responsibilities:
- Implement and maintain Ledcor systems and procedures throughout the project lifecycle
- Develop and maintain Ground disturbance work packages, ensuring they accurately and efficiently communicate the relevant utility information
- Coordinate the ground disturbance process with construction field crews, ensuring they understand the utilities they are working around the requirements for safe work
- Coordinate with third party utility representatives to ensure that our work meets both Ledcor and their requirements
- Oversee the documentation processes, including RFIs (Requests for Information), submittals, redlines, and technical evaluations
- Support the design process by coordinating with Third Party Utility representatives to ensure our work does not conflict with their infrastructure
- Support the Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) program through worksite inspections, safety observations, and participation in safety meetings
- Support and provide input on the required reporting deliverables to both internal and external stakeholders
- Monitor and track project schedules and milestones, providing reports and updates to project managers and stakeholders
- Review and mark up construction drawings with daily and weekly progress of installations
- Coordinate and maintain as-builts surveys records of utilities installed on the project
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of experience in construction project coordination, utilities, or infrastructure projects
- Degree, diploma, or certification in Civil, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering or a related field; Professional Engineering (P.Eng.), Technologist (CET), or Journeyperson certification is an asset
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction drawings, schematics, and specifications
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office, and document management systems (Bluebeam, Procore, or similar tools - CAD Skills are an asset (Trimble Business Centre, CIVIL 3D, etc.)
- Experience with construction planning, change management, RFIs, and contract administration
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with internal teams, subcontractors, and clients
- Ability to problem-solve, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple responsibilities effectively
- Understanding of utilities locate processes is an asset
