Job Summary:
We are seeking a experienced Journeyperson Maintenance Electrician or Electricians with switching and isolation experience working at Suncor Baseplant located just outside of Fort McMurray AB. Responsibilities:
- Has experience and understands electrical motors and pumps
- Is familiar with isolations, switching and working comfortably with electrical systems up to and including 7.2KV
- Reads and interprets single line diagrams and understands Kirk Key systems
- Experience in a tailings pond environment would be considered an asset
- Conducts preventative maintenance for industrial electrical systems
Qualifications
- Certified Journeyperson Electrician from a recognized provincial authority
- Previous experience within the oil and gas industry, preferably in a maintenance setting within a live plant
- Must successfully complete pre-access drug and alcohol testing
- Communication and team player attitude
- Must have demonstrated ability to work under minimal supervision
Work Conditions
- This is a full time, ongoing maintenance contract with long term potential
- Transportation provided from Ft. McMurray to site for every day worked
- $50 Living Out Allowance per day worked as camp accommodations are not provided
- Shift is 14 days on/ 7 day off working 10-12 Hour days with an alternating night shift
- Extended Health & Wellness benefits provided by CLAC
