Description

Are you passionate about civil infrastructure modelling and digital construction workflows? Join our Integrated Digital Services (IDS) team and collaborate with project and office staff to support 3D modelling, digital coordination, and model-based project delivery. This role offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in civil infrastructure modelling, digital workflows, and project coordination.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Assist in developing 3D civil infrastructure models (roads, bridges, earthworks, utilities, etc.) from engineering drawings and technical specifications.
  • Produce construction drawings and deliverables from digital models.
  • Support model-based quantity take-offs and volume calculations to assist estimating and project planning.
  • Support model-related project coordination with engineers, survey teams, and construction staff.
  • Assist in conducting clash detection activities and 4D simulation.
  • Support the integration and coordination of 3D laser scans/point cloud data.
  • Participate in model reviews and quality checks.

Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with Autodesk Civil 3D. Exposure to Trimble Business Center, Navisworks and parametric modelling is beneficial.
  • Educational background in civil engineering, surveying, geomatics, or a related discipline is considered an asset.
  • Interest or basic experience in civil infrastructure or heavy civil construction projects.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify discrepancies in models, drawings, and project data.
  • Experience or exposure to BIM implementation practices is considered an asset.
  • Excellent communication, planning, and organizational skills.
  • Comfortable working in a team environment, self-motivated, and eager to learn and take on new challenges.

Work Conditions:

  • Office and site-based position
  • 40 hrs per week, Monday to Friday
