Description

As a Health & Safety Professional, you are at the forefront of driving and executing a wide array of health and safety initiatives for industrial and maintenance projects. With your expertise as a Safety Advisor, you blend sharp professional judgment with a proven ability to forge strong, collaborative relationships at every level of the organization. Your leadership ensures that safety protocols are not only adhered to, but championed across teams, setting the standard for excellence in the field.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Provide advice to operations regarding Ledcor's Health and Safety Management System, based on a solid understanding of program execution throughout the project lifecycle
  • Monitor compliance with jurisdictional regulatory requirements
  • Assists in the coordination and completion of safe work procedures, hazard assessments, safety inspections, focus audits and incident investigations
  • Verify compliance with leading and lagging indicators, including subcontractors as well as any identified corrective actions
  • Conduct the HS&E Orientation to employees and subcontractors during project onboarding
  • Support the coordination, organization and delivery of project toolbox talks and safety meetings
  • Develop and enhance Job Hazard Analysis and Safe Work Practice documents based on existing materials

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years’ experience in construction or related industry, with relevant health and safety experience
  • Must hold CSO, NCSO or CRSP qualifications
  • Ability to effectively communicate and present information to the hourly workforce, while also effectively interacting with project management staff, clients, and customers
  • Ability to provide a proactive approach to safety, including identification of operational and organizational issues, as well as developing and implementing strategies to solve them
  • Demonstrated experience in risk assessment, program development, safety & health training, and accident investigation
  • Must have and maintain a valid driver's license with a clean abstract
  • Successful completion of pre-employment drug & alcohol testing requirements

Working Conditions:

  • This is a site based position
  • This role requires working primarily outdoors in various weather conditions

Compensation

$68,800 to $94,600 annually

This is the expected base pay range for this role. Individual base pay will be determined based on a variety of factors including experience, knowledge, skills, education and location.
