Essential Responsibilities:
Supervise a crew of Equipment Operators and Labourers
Responsible for the safety of the crew, work environment and basic maintenance of equipment
Overall compliance of Ledcor's health, safety, and environmental standards as well as occupational health and safety regulations daily
Demonstrates ability to lead teams effectively in the day-to-day execution of the work by managing resources, equipment, and available labour
Completes daily paperwork and conduct daily toolbox talks
Coordinates and communicates with the other Forepersons and Supervision to ensure the correct sequencing of operations
Effective organizational and planning skills; proven experience organizing workloads, managing multiple priorities, and working with multiple deadlines
Requirements:
Minimum 3+ years of experience in a supervisory role
A background in operating equipment (excavator, loader, dozer, skid steer); with experience and knowledge in construction and major infrastructure projects is an asset
Must successfully complete pre-access drug and alcohol testing
CSTS, Ground Disturbance 201, Elevated Work platform and Silica Awareness (training provided)
Must possess a valid Class 5 license and ability to provide a clean 3-year drivers abstract
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Work Conditions:
Monday to Friday, 10 hours per day with potential overtime required
Work in all weather conditions year-round and willing to lend a hand where needed as a working Foreperson
