Ledcor is actively hiring Drillers, Blasters, and Equipment Operators for civil and mining projects across Canada. These are steady, long-term roles with solid crews, reliable work, and clear direction.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Lead blast preparation and loading to keep production on schedule
• Direct the blast crew to execute safe, efficient, on-time blasts
• Load, tie-in, and fire patterns to plan for consistent fragmentation and diggability
• Track blast results and production outcomes
• Manage magazines and materials to support continuous operations
• Operate safely and work independently with minimal supervision

Qualifications:

• Valid Newfoundland & Labrador Blaster’s Certificate or eligible to work towards obtaining
• Experience blasting in surface mining or quarry operations
• Strong knowledge of blast loading, tie-ins, and initiation systems or a willingness to learn
• Ability to read and execute blast plans and loading instructions
• Production-focused, safety-driven, and able to work independently
• Strong commitment to safety and safe work practices
• Ability to work rotations, shifts, and overtime
• Valid driver’s license and driver’s abstract
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work on uneven terrain
• Successful completion of pre-access drug and alcohol testing
• Ability to work up to 12 hour rotating day/night shifts in all weather conditions

Work Conditions:

• Travel allowances provided from anywhere in Canada
• Living out allowance or camp available
• Various shifts available

Compensation

$38.00 - $40.32 per hour

This is the expected base pay range for this role. Individual base pay will be determined based on a variety of factors including experience, knowledge, skills, education and location.
