Essential Responsibilities

Asset Inspector/Labourers support the safe and efficient operation of Alberta’s transportation network, including:

General Highway Maintenance Duties

• Asset inspection and data gathering using the ArcGIS system
• Culvert inspection and cleaning
• System testing and feedback to support highway operations and digital asset management
• Road patrols and debris removal
• Assisting with traffic control procedures
• Working outdoors in all weather conditions
• Other road maintenance tasks as required

Qualifications

• Experience with ArcGIS or similar mapping systems
• Valid Class 5 Driver’s License
• Ability to provide a 3‑year driver’s abstract
• Successful completion of pre-employment drug and alcohol testing
• Physically able to perform demanding outdoor tasks

Work Conditions

• Applicants that are local may be given preference due to the location of the work (No Camp or LOA provided)
• As LHL is obligated to respond to various weather patterns, some shift work, on-call, and night shift will be required
• Will be provided a pay rate of $21/hr -$24/hr based on experience
• Night shift premium $3/hr
