KPMG's Audit practice located in our offices Downtown Montreal, in Boisbriand and in Brossard is currently looking for Senior Accountants to join our dynamic team!
What you will do
- Apply KPMG's auditing and accounting practices and methods to client engagements.
- Work closely with Managers and Senior Managers.
- Lead the audit from planning to completion.
- Perform external audits for publicly traded companies listed on the Canadian Stock Market.
- Lead field engagement teams and act as a mentor to junior staff.
- Perform analysis of complex accounting issues.
- Test internal controls.
- Perform financial and systems analyses.
- Establish and maintain good client relationships.
What you bring to the role
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business Administration.
- Successful completion of the CFE or working towards a CPA designation.
- 2 to 3 years of experience working in an accounting firm.
- Experience using IFRS is mandatory and other financial reporting standards is an asset.
- Excellent project management, teamwork and interpersonal skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently, with little supervision and within a team environment.
- Effectively monitor complex projects on a regular basis to check the progress against deadlines and budget.
- Dedication and motivation to achieve high standards of client service and professional in the performance of duties.
- Ability to use a range of techniques to analyze an issue.
The selected candidate must demonstrate excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly explain and simplify complex audit and reporting matters for diverse audiences. Proficiency in English is required, as the position involves communicating and delivering presentations to clients and stakeholders at KPMG Canada in English‑speaking regions of Canada.
