What you will do
Johnson Controls invites you to apply for an in‑person Project Analysis Accounting Internship supporting our Silent‑Aire business, located in Nisku, Alberta. Silent‑Aire is a global leader in mission‑critical cooling solutions for data centers.
This internship is designed to provide hands‑on exposure to project accounting and financial analysis in a complex, project‑based manufacturing and services environment. You will support accounting and finance professionals who partner closely with project managers and operations teams.
How you will do it
Assist with project financial tracking, including cost analysis, revenue recognition support, and variance review
Support month‑end and period‑end accounting activities related to project reporting
Help maintain accurate project documentation and financial records
Analyze project data to support forecasting, budgeting, and financial decision‑making
Prepare basic financial reports, summaries, and presentations for internal stakeholders
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams including Project Management, Operations, and Finance
Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance reporting accuracy and efficiency
Other duties and learning opportunities may be assigned based on business needs
Required qualifications
Currently enrolled as a full‑time student at an accredited college or university
Pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field
Strong analytical and organizational skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and basic financial tools
Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Legal authorization to work in Canada
HIRING HOURLY RANGE: $20.00 - $24.00 CAD/hour
(Hourly rate to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, location and alignment with market data.)
