Position Summary
East Kootenay Regional Hospital has an exciting opportunity for a Casual Switchboard Operator Receptionist to join their team in Cranbrook, BC!
This position works rotating days, evening and nights; 06:00 to 14:00, 14:00 to 22:00, 22:00 to 06:00

What Will You Work On?
This position operates the Switchboard, public address, and pager systems; receives and directs patients and visitors; admits all patients during the evening, night shifts and weekends; receives, records and accounts for various monies owing; and performs various clerical duties.

• A 5-minute typing test (45+ NWPM) from a recognized institution, completed within the past 48 months (non-supervised tests not accepted). Click here for testing details.
• A Medical Terminology Certificate
• Your Resume outlining two year’s recent related experience, Or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience;
• A Cover Letter stating your availability to start in a new position and on-call, casual work (i.e. days of the week).

Qualfications
Education, Training and Experience:
Grade 12, one year’s recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Ability to keyboard at 45 wpm from a recognized institution, completed within the past 48 months (non-supervised tests not accepted).
Working knowledge of medical terminology.
