Position Summary
Interior Health is hiring a Student to provide support to the Cancer Care Clinical Network Team located at the Community Health & Services Centre in Kelowna, B.C.

The term for this position is from approximately July to September 2026.

Salary Range:

Salary range for the position is $22.66 to $25.75. Interior Health establishes salaries within the minimum and maximum of the salary range based on consideration of the qualifications, experience of the applicant, and an internal equity review of the salaries of other employees.

What will you work on?

The student position will provide assistance to the Cancer Care Network leaders. You will work with a variety of people and partners within the broad Clinical Network (Managers, Directors, Consultants).

Reporting to the Network Director, Cancer Care, the student position will support various projects and tasks which may include:

• Compilation and analyzing data
• Supporting policy development
• Ensuring databases and systems are up-to date
• Reviewing data samples for financial and audit functions
• Providing cost summaries for staffing rotations
• Creating and presenting information to various teams

These tasks will require working both with a team and independently, while having support and supervision remotely by the Director, mentor, or designate.

Some typical duties and responsibilities:

1. Assist with various project requirements.
2. Consult with internal partners to acquire the necessary information.
3. Updating and organizing internal information management systems, including SharePoint, databases, internal webpages, and other systems.
4. Develop, update, and analyze information using Excel.
5. Prepare and submit correspondence and presentations as required.
6. Perform other related duties as required.

Qualfications
Education, Training and Experience:

Enrolled in a post-secondary program

**Demonstrated experience in a complex computer & technical environment. Experience with Excel is required.

Skills and abilities:

• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
• Ability to work with colleagues effectively
• Ability to organize work
• Ability to use Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Familiarity with SharePoint and/or webpage design would be an asset; ability to quickly learn computer programs and systems
• Strong computer skills
