Position Summary
We are hiring for casual Social Workers to join our team in Kelowna. We welcome applications from graduates of an accredited BSW or MSW program with open availability for shifts. Registration with the BC College of Social Workers is a requirement.
Our department provides social work services seven days a week with varying hours that include daytime, evening, and weekend shifts. This is a very busy role where you could be supporting acute care, community, long-term care, primary care and mental health clients.
Due to the high volume of applications, only candidates selected for interview will be contacted.
Days of Work: Any day as needed
Shift times: 08:00 to 16:00, 15:00 to 00:55, 10:00 to 17:15

About the role:
The Social Worker provides comprehensive assessment, care planning and treatment coordination for designated clients and their families. Working collaboratively with other health care providers and the multidisciplinary team, the Social Worker provides direct psychosocial care, counseling and group work, system navigation and advocacy, education and linkage to relevant specialized complex care resources while facilitating client self management. The Social Worker is responsible for providing and developing social work services to maintain or improve the health and social well-being and functioning of the identified population.

Qualfications
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Social Work from an accredited university. Two years recent related experience in a healthcare setting working with medically complex clients with concurrent disorders, or a combination of education, training and experience
Current full registration with the British Columbia College of Social Workers. Current valid BC driver’s license.
