Position Summary
We are hiring for a permanent full-time Respiratory Therapist at Kootenay Boundary Regional Hospital (KBH).

What we offer:
We a BC and Canada's Top employer and offer welcoming workplaces with a range of benefits and policies to support you at every stage of your career.
About the position:
At KBH, Respiratory Therapists are key clinical partners across the entire hospital, providing care in all acute areas and participating directly in High Acuity Response Team (HART) transports. The role includes managing acute and chronic cardio respiratory conditions, performing airway management, ventilator setup and monitoring, assisting with diagnostics (like pulmonary function tests and arterial blood sampling), and supporting code blues, trauma cases, high risk deliveries, and ICU rounds. RTs work rotating day and night shifts with on call and HART transports required. The environment is highly collaborative, offering exposure to all patient populations, opportunities to build advanced skills (such as intubation assistance, arterial line support, neonatal CPAP), and a strong culture of mentorship and team connection.
As a Respiratory Therapist on the HART team, you aren’t just part of a transport service - you’re a lifeline for patients who would otherwise struggle to access critical care. This is your opportunity to practice at the top of your scope while helping strengthen rural health care within Interior Health.
