Position Summary
Joining us at Royal Inland Hospital, you’ll provide therapeutic recreation services that empower individuals to achieve their health and wellness goals.
Your Role:
As a Recreation Therapist, you will enhance clients’ well-being by delivering meaningful one-on-one and group recreation programs. You will assess recreation and leisure needs, develop individualized therapeutic plans, and coordinate activities that support health, functional ability, and quality of life.
You’ll document observations, monitor progress, revise goals, and ensure each plan aligns with the individual’s overall care and rehabilitation needs. Working closely with Occupational/Rehabilitation staff, healthcare teams, and community partners, you’ll help resolve program issues and support a holistic approach to care.
You will also contribute to Recreation Therapy services through participation in quality initiatives, meetings, research, and education.
Position Information:
This is a permanent part-time (0.60FTE) position working Tuesday, Thursday and Friday day shifts from 08:30 - 16:18.

Qualfications
• Graduation from a recognized diploma or degree program in Recreational Therapy plus two years recent related experience.
• Eligible for professional membership with the B.C. Therapeutic Recreation Association (BCTRA).
• Current valid BC driver’s license.
