Physiotherapist | Primary Care

Position Summary
We have a permanent part-time 0.50fte Physiotherapist position available in Nakusp. B.C. This position supports Primary Care and is based out of the local private medical clinic which runs Monday to Friday office hours. We are open to discussing the preferred schedule and hours with the successful candidate.

About the position:

The Physiotherapist works independently and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary rehabilitation team providing physiotherapy services including assessment, treatment planning and implementation, program planning, consultation, equipment prescription and education of clients and/or their caregivers to promote functional independence and enable the client to achieve and maintain optimal health outcomes. The Physiotherapist contributes to the organization and the overall goals of the profession, department; participates in departmental/program quality assurance initiatives, meetings, research, and education; and provides work direction to the rehabilitation assistant working with the rehabilitation team.

Surrounded by lakes and mountains, Nakusp is fondly referred to as the “Hidden Gem” of the Kootenays. The Arrow Lakes and surrounding area are known for beautiful scenery and a wide array of outdoor recreational opportunities. Qualfications
Full registration as a Physical Therapist with the College of Health and Care Professionals of BC (CHCPBC).
Valid BC Driver’s license where required.
