Position Summary
We are hiring a permanent, full time physiotherapist for Nicola Valley Hospital and Health Centre, located in Merritt, B.C.

Days of work: Monday to Friday
Shifts times: 08:30 to 16:30

About the position:
Nicola Valley Hospital and Health Centre is an eight acute care bed facility offering a range of medical services, including emergency care, inpatient and outpatient services, diagnostic imaging, and laboratory testing. The hospital's design typically reflects the needs of a smaller, regional medical centre with modern facilities but on a more compact scale.

In this position the focus is with outpatients and community/home health care with some acute inpatient coverage. You work both independently and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary rehabilitation team. You provide physiotherapy services that include assessment, treatment planning and implementation, program development, consultation, equipment prescription, and the education of clients and/or their caregivers to promote functional independence and support clients in achieving and maintaining optimal health outcomes. In your role, you contribute to the organization’s goals and the advancement of the profession and department. You participate in departmental and program quality assurance initiatives, meetings, research, and education. Additionally, you provide work direction to the rehabilitation assistant(s) working with the rehabilitation team.

Qualfications
Full licensure as a Physical Therapist with the College of Health and Care Professionals of BC (CHCPBC). Valid BC Driver’s license required.
