Position Summary
We are hiring a relief, part-time (0.50 FTE) Physiotherapist at Shuswap Lake General Hospital located in Salmon Arm, B.C. This position will provide coverage until August 2027, or return of the incumbent.
Days of Work: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday
Shift times: 08:30 to 15:15

Shuswap Lake General Hospital (SLGH) is a Level 2 Community Hospital located in the vibrant lakeside city of Salmon Arm, BC. SLGH provides a broad range of healthcare services including inpatient care, surgical services, obstetrics, and 24-hour emergency care, making it a key healthcare hub for the surrounding communities.
SLGH offers a rewarding opportunity to practice within a community hospital setting where clinicians work closely with patients across the continuum of care. Physiotherapists are valued members of the interdisciplinary team, collaborating with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to support patient recovery, functional independence, and safe discharge planning.
This position supports acute care. The physiotherapy caseload may include:
• Acute medical and surgical patients.
• Orthopedic and post-operative rehabilitation.
• Mobility assessment and early mobilization.
• Falls prevention and balance interventions.
• Functional recovery following illness, injury, or hospitalization.
• Discharge planning and transition to community-based rehabilitation services.

Full licensee as a Physical Therapist with the College of Health and Care Professionals of BC (CHCPBC). Valid BC Driver’s license where required.
