Position Summary
We are seeking a Casual Home Support Scheduling Supervisor at Castlegar District Community Health Centre in Castlegar, BC.
Days of work: Rotating, Monday to Friday, Days
Shift times: 07:00 to 15:00

What will you work on?
The Home Support Scheduler oversees the daily scheduling operation of the Home Support Program by performing a variety of administrative support functions such as supervising staff, monitoring expenditures, providing input into the development and evaluation of program policies and standards, and developing and implementing new work methods/procedures. Duties may include:
• Supervises scheduling staff by performing duties such as assigning work, providing feedback and evaluation, determining training requirements, and maintaining timekeeping and attendance records. Resolves scheduling staffing problems, including calling in staff to ensure appropriate staffing levels.
• Assists in the recruitment and selection of scheduling staff by performing duties such as reviewing applications, providing input into the development of interview questions, and participating on interview panels.
• Performs payroll functions and monitors expenditures for designated area by comparing actual and budgeted expenditures, identifying variances and anomalies and following up on variances in conjunction with the Manager.
• Maintains filing systems, indexing files and materials to be filed, including preparing and archiving material per IHA policy and procedures.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

• Proof of graduation from a recognized Office Administration Program;
• Your Resume indicating three year’s recent related scheduling and supervisory experience, Or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Qualfications
• Grade 12
• Graduation from a recognized Office Administration Program, plus
• Three year’s recent related scheduling and supervisory experience, Or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience
• Completion of a 5 min Typing Test 30 wpm or greater, dated within the past 24 months and must be issued from a valid institution only
• Current Valid B.C. Driver’s license
