Cardiac Sonographer

Position Summary
Vernon Jubilee Hospital (VJH) in Vernon, BC is seeking applications from Cardiac Sonographers to join their dynamic Medical Imaging team on a casual basis.

Casual employment means work requirements can vary between Zero and 37.5 hours per week. Work will be available on a short-notice, on-call bases and/or blocks of shifts pre-scheduled to relieve leaves of absences. Shifts will be Days and Evenings with the shift times being 07:45 to 16:46, 13:00 to 22:01, 16:46 to 22:00.

What Will You Work On?
The Medical Imaging Department consists of 4 general ultrasound rooms and 3 echo rooms. Services at VJH include: Screening Mammography, Diagnostic Mammography, Ultrasound, CT, MRI, Radiography, Fluoroscopy and Nuclear Medicine. General sonographers at VJH work on Philips and Canon equipment while Cardiac sonographers work on GE equipment.

Qualfications
Graduate of a recognized/accredited North American Program in Diagnostic Medical Sonography (Ultrasonography).

Current certification with Sonography Canada as required for the assigned practice area (such as, Generalist and/or Cardiac) and/or current certification with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) as required for the assigned practice area (such as, Abdomen/Small Parts, Obstetrics/Gynecology, Cardiac, and/or Vascular).

Eligible for membership with Sonography Canada and/or ARDMS.
