Senior Project Manager

An internationally recognized, North American construction company with over 100 years of experience in ICI, TI, and residential construction is looking for a Senior Project Manager to join their Special Projects team, lead successful projects, and be a mentor.

Our client has operations predominantly in North America however they also are an international construction services company globally. In BC, they predominantly work on ICI new build and TI projects in the lower mainland.

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

In this role, you will be a part of the special projects team in Vancouver. As a Senior Project Manager, you will be leading a team of Project Managers, Assistant Project Managers, and Project Coordinators on tenant improvement projects, each ranging on average between $5M-$20M+.

With emphasis on training, mentorship, and guidance opportunities to move into more senior positions, to larger projects, or even opportunities to work out of the United States, long term are real possibilities.

ABOUT THE POSITION

You will be responsible for 1-2 Project Managers who each have their own coordinators and be a mentor for Assistant Project Managers who are taking larger roles on smaller projects. In total, you will be a part of 3-5 projects at a given time from preconstruction to completion. Your time will be split between home, office, and site.

THE REQUIREMENTS

• 7+ years Project Management Experience
• Experience managing a team of Project Managers, Assistant Project Managers and Project Coordinators.
• Experience on tenant improvement projects $3M+ through their full lifecycle.
• Construction / Engineering Education is an asset.
• Local trade connections.
• Project experience in health care, higher education, and technology is an asset.

• Salary: up to $170,000 annually.
