We are hiring a Sr. Human Resources Generalist for our Vancouver client. This is a full in office position and is ideal for someone with 3 years of Generalist level experience. The HR Generalist will join a national team, and manage a true generalist HR portfolio.

About Our Client
Our client is a large North American building materials company. It supplies a variety of products to the construction and renovation sectors. The company operates multiple facilities across Canada and the U.S.

About The Opportunity
The Senior Human Resources Generalist will support HR managers and a variety of department managers with performance management, leave management programs, producing offer letters, and employee discipline letters. Acting as a back-up support for the HR administrators and support for Senior HR leaders, this role offers a variety of tasks.

About The Position

  • Manages leave management programs.
  • Produces HR letters.
  • Supports performance management.
  • Coaches and guides managers on employment standards and provincial legislation.
  • Assists with recruitment.
  • Onboarding and terminations.
  • Manages HRIS and employee files.

The Requirements

  • 3 years of experience in an HR Generalist role.
  • Degree or Diploma in Human Resources.
  • CPHR designation is preferred.
  • Experience managing employee terminations.
  • Prior experience with performance management.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Strong knowledge of employment standards and best practices.
  • Working knowledge of Sharepoint and ADP is an asset.
  • Background checks will include education in addition to references and Crim.
  • This position is fully in office.

Compensation

  • Annual salary range $80,000 - 90,000, depending on experience.
