WHAT YOU’LL DO

Impact Recruitment has some big expansion plans in the works, and we're looking for someone organized, adaptable and enthusiastic to join our growing team and help us keep up the pace!

We’re looking for a Senior Accountant who has strong accounting knowledge, can identify, and resolve accounting issues, is highly motivated and willing to work on a diverse set of tasks. Working on full-cycle accounting duties, you will support the preparation of financial statements and various reports, and help manage budget and expenses.

• Full cycle accounting, prepares month-end journals and support period-end closing processes
• Assisting with the preparation of consolidated financial statements and various reports and analysis for multiple company entities and in multiple currencies
• Assisting with budgeting and budget to actual analysis
• Monitor and balance general ledger accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, and reconciling transactions and resolving discrepancies
• Managing day-to-day cashflow management and banking
• Help ensure compliance and reporting for all government programs including GST, WCB, EHT, etc.
• Supports accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Assist with record keeping, internal audits and assist in finding new ways to book revenue & expenses
• Other tasks and projects as assigned
• Play a key part in helping the business grow

A LITTLE ABOUT YOU

Requirements include:

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Accounting or Finance
• Designated CPA or working towards a CPA designation
• Minimum 4 years of relevant work experience
• Leadership experience in an accounting role
• Public practice accounting and internal audit experience is a strong asset
• Working knowledge of QuickBooks Online preferred
• Knowledge of IFRS, GAAP, or ASPE
• Strong MS Excel skills
• Excellent communication skills.
• Must be detail-oriented and organized
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks in a timely manner
• Excellent team player as well as the ability to work independently
