One of North Vancouver’s leading Public Practice firms are looking to add a Manager, Private Enterprise to their team.
About Our Client
The firm have been in operation for decades serving a loyal and expanding client base out of their North Vancouver office. A number of their staff previously worked at Big 4 accounting firm and national firms and bring that experience and quality to a smaller firm setting. Compared to many smaller firms, this firm have a set up that is comparable in many ways to a much larger firm and all the benefits that come with this.

This is the perfect opportunity for a career-focused individual that wants to be an integral, long-term member of a well established North Vancouver firm. The opportunity has arisen due to the relocation of one of the team. You would be joining a well tenured, supportive group of like minded professionals.
About the Position
Reporting directly to the Partners and focusing on private company clients, responsibilities will include:
- Review of Compilations, NTR’s and tax engagements for privete
- Apply knowledge of Accounting Standards for Private Enterprise (ASPE)
- Identify and resolve accounting and tax issues proactively through collaboration with Senior Managers/Partners
- Review personal, trust, corporate tax, GST, T4 and T5 returns, delegating tasks where appropriate
- Demonstrate an understanding of clients’ industry, marketplace, business trends and technical industry development, key performance drivers and communicate such to the client
- Provide support to clients and staff on general questions regarding accounting, taxation, operation and financial accounting issues
- Effectively manage workload, deadlines and client expectations, ensuring client satisfaction
- Delegate tasks to all levels of staff while providing guidance and training to staff members to enhance their career development within the firm
- Foster positive working relationships with clients and colleagues
- Build effective working relationships with clients and colleagues
Requirements
- Designated CPA
- 3+ experience in public practice (ideally midsized firms)
- 1+ years experience at the Manager level
- Private company assurance/tax experience
- Strong client relationship building skills
Compensation
- Salary $90,000-110,000
- Paid overtime, bonus and RRSP match
- Extended health and dental benefits
