Hiring a Human Resource Generalist to focus on People & Culture initiatives. The Human Resources Generalist, People & Culture, is a solo HR provider role. You'll work closely with leadership and act as the main point of contact for employees. The ideal Human Resources Generalist will work with a sense of urgency, be able to meet deadlines, have 2+ years of experience in a Generalist level role and construction and development industry experience.

Our client is a seeking an HR professional to focus on People & Culture initiatives. They pride themselves on having a strong company culture and go the extra mile to take care of their employees. The Human Resources Generalist, People & Culture, is a solo HR provider role. You'll work closely with leadership and act as the main point of contact for employees. The ideal Human Resources Generalist will work with a sense of urgency, be able to meet deadlines, have 2+ years of experience in a Generalist level role and construction and development industry experience.

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

The Human Resources Generalist position will focus on People & Culture initiatives. They will act as the first point of contact for all employee questions and concerns. Planning employee events, supporting onboarding and delivering an exceptional level of employee focused programs are the core of this role.

ABOUT THE POSITION

  • Assists with recruitment: posting job ads, screening resumes, coordinating interviews, reference checking and offer letters.
  • Onboarding and new hire training and orientation.
  • Benefits administration.
  • Employee relations.
  • Developing and implementing new HR policies and procedures.
  • Assisting with timesheets.
  • WCB and Health & Safety.
  • Employee and company events.

THE REQUIREMENTS

  • HR Certificate or Degree.
  • CPHR designation is preferred; however, a combination of experience and education if in progress will be considered as well.
  • 2+ years of experience in a Generalist position.
  • Experience leading employee relations programs and initiatives.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Solid knowledge of HR best practices.
  • Proven ability to build relationships and collaborate with all levels of an organization.
  • Driver's License to visit various locations.
  • Prior experience in the construction and development industry.
  • Flexibility to adjust to changing priorities. This organization has a ‘team’ first attitude, so regardless of someone’s role, you must be willing to jump in wherever needed.

COMPENSATION

Annual salary $70,000 - $75,000. Competitive vacation and excellent benefits program and RSP matching.
