Located in the heart of downtown Vancouver, our client has continued to dominate the real estate and construction industry for the past 50 years! One of the most recognizable names with a deep and diverse portfolio of projects that include mixed-use masterplans, condos, commercial and industrial developments.

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

A unique opportunity for an aspiring Development Manager to join one of Vancouver most decorated real estate developers. You will join a successful team with an exciting pipeline of projects. In this role specifically you will be working on a mixed-use masterplan community. You will be focused on the full life cycle of the project but as the project develops you will assist the rest of the team with the project delivery and pushing it through each milestone. My client is looking for a good culture fit, a candidate that is wanting to grow and develop with the business. This could either be a very strong Development Coordinator or an established Development Manager.

ABOUT THE POSITION

As a Development Professional you are required to have a vast understanding of the full development process including municipal approvals, project design development and consultant management, proformas and cashflows. You will be involved with:

  • Feasibility studies
  • Coordinating with outsourced design and development consultants
  • Keeping up-to date with policies and BC By laws
  • Managing rezoning and all municipal permit approvals
  • Cost control throughout process
  • Close work and relationship building with various stakeholders
  • Legal agreements
  • Reporting to all stakeholders involved
  • Working closely with finance on proformas

THE REQUIREMENTS

  • A minimum of 5 years in a real estate development related role
  • Have experience with full cycle development
  • Mixed-use masterplan experience an asset
  • Needs to have a strong personality and communication style
  • Connections to municipalities would be a benefit, i.e Vancouver, Burnaby
  • Fully based in the Vancouver office

COMPENSATION

  • Salary range: $130,000 - $150,000
  • Bonus structure
  • Medical and dental benefits
  • 3-4 vacation
