Description
A well-established, local, and truly independent insurance brokerage is currently in search for an experienced Commercial Claims Advocate to support their in-house claims operations. Responsibilities
- Review and interpret policy wording to assess coverage for reported losses
- Enter new claim details into the internal system
- Represent and support the insured throughout the settlement process
- Manage claims efficiently to resolution using a structured follow-up system
- Keep thorough and accurate claim records
- Respond to phone calls and emails promptly, in line with company standards
- Examine claims data to identify trends and support risk prevention strategies
- Create reports for both internal stakeholders and external partners
- Participate in meetings, mediations, and settlement discussions
- Provide regular claim status updates to clients and internal teams until closure
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in a claims role
- Must have diverse exposure in commercial claims, casualty experience is a huge bonus!
- Strong communication and listening skills are critical
- CIP or CRM designations are considered assets
