Our client, a respected national leader in group benefits and health trust administration, is seeking a Client Service Specialist (Specialized Markets) to join their Vancouver team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced benefits professional who thrives in a client-focused, detail-oriented environment and enjoys managing complex cases with a high degree of autonomy. Responsibilities Client Service & Case Management
- Act as the primary contact for client, advisor, and carrier inquiries
- Manage complex client cases, plan updates, reporting, and issue resolution
- Prepare plan amendments, appeals, reports, and presentation materials
Meetings & Coordination
- Coordinate and attend client meetings
- Prepare agendas, meeting materials, minutes, and ensure follow-up items are completed
Projects & Workflow
- Support cross-departmental project execution and client deliverables
- Identify process improvements and support workflow enhancements
- Manage project timelines and oversee documentation and payments through Accounting
Executive Support
- Provide administrative and operational support to the VP, Specialized Markets
- Liaise with internal/external stakeholders and manage action items
Communications & Documentation
- Draft and review correspondence, reports, and presentations
- Maintain organized and confidential files and documentation systems
Qualifications
- College Diploma in business administration or related field
- Minimum 8 years of experience (group insurance experience is a significant asset)
- Experience with Health Trust administration preferred
- Proven strength in client service and case management
- Excellent organization, accuracy, and ability to manage multiple priorities
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and discretion with confidential information
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
