Description
A well-regarded, full-service boutique law firm located in downtown Vancouver is seeking a skilled and motivated Solicitor to join their growing team. As part of succession planning, they are looking for an entrepreneurial and motivated lawyer to take over a portfolio of legacy clients and help grow the solicitor’s practice further. This is ideal for a lawyer at the Associate level who is ready to take their career to the next level.
Responsibilities
- Manage and advise on a broad range of solicitor-side legal files.
- Provide practical and strategic legal advice to a diverse client base.
- Collaborate with internal team members including lawyers, paralegals, and legal assistants.
- Integrate and grow your own client base within a supportive firm environment.
- Participate in firm development initiatives, including marketing and client relationship management.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 5 years post-call experience practicing law in British Columbia.
- Demonstrated experience in:
- Real estate conveyancing
- Mortgage transactions
- Foreclosures
- Wills and estates
- General corporate/commercial matters
- Strong drive for business development and growth.
- Member in good standing with the Law Society of British Columbia.
- Existing client base is beneficial but not required.
