Accounting Manager

Based in downtown Vancouver, our client is an established technology company looking to hire an Accounting Manager for their team. The ideal candidate is a designated CPA with 7+ years of relevant experience.

ABOUT THE POSITION
Reporting to the VP, Finance, the accounting manager will be responsible for but not limited to:

  • Oversee the full month-end close cycle, ensuring all deadlines are met.
  • Review journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals, and related financial support prepared by the team.
  • Ensure proper revenue recognition, expense allocations, and intercompany accounting.
  • Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, highlighting key variances and trends
  • Prepare audit schedules, working papers, and documentation supporting financial statements.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP/IFRS and relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Support automation and strengthen control documentation across the department.
  • Work in collaboration with external auditors for year-end audits and tax work.
  • Streamline internal controls and accounting policies and procedures.
  • Work closely with FP&A to compare results against forecasts and support planning activities.
  • Supervise and mentor the accounting team
  • Ad hoc duties as needed.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

  • Salary: $110,000 to $120,000
  • Extended health and dental
  • Hybrid working schedule
  • 3 weeks’ vacation

REQUIREMENTS

  • Designated CPA
  • 7+ years of accounting experience.
  • 3+ years of leadership experience.
  • Public company experience is an asset
