Accountant

About the Position
Reporting to the Accounting Manager, the accountant will be responsible for, but not limited to:

• Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements and reports.
• Process month-end close and general ledger reconciliations.
• Handle inventory and fixed asset accounting, including reconciliations and depreciation.
• Complete bank reconciliations in multiple currencies and conduct variance analysis and explain financial performance.
• Support financial reporting for management and the Board.
• Collaborate with departments to ensure data accuracy.
• Assist with audits and prepare the required documentation.
• File sales tax returns and regulatory reports.
• Use JD Edwards and Cognos for accounting and reporting tasks.
• Work on ad hoc projects as needed.

Requirements

• 4+ years of accounting experience.
• Pursuing or Designated CPA
• Public practice or manufacturing experience is an asset.

Compensation and Benefits

• Salary: $75,000 to $85,000
• 3 weeks vacation
