We invite applications for the temporary position of Human Resources Analyst.
Reporting to the Executive Manager of Employee Relations, the successful applicant will provide expertise and support to organizational leaders with recruitment and selection processes for both unionized and non-unionized personnel, will be responsible for all tasks relating to payroll processing for the Board's employees, and additional Human Resources responsibilities as required. This is a temporary and full-time non-union position (37.5 hours per week) working from the Catholic Education Centre in Dublin, Ontario.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepare recruitment materials and post union and non-union jobs to internal/external job sites, using innovative strategies to attract quality candidates;
- Screen resumes and job applications, acting as a point of contact and building candidate relationships during the selection process;
- Maintain a database of candidate records, including active and passive prospects, hired and terminated employees, and internal employee movements within the organization;
- Ensure all recruitment practices are done in accordance with employment laws and regulations and current collective agreements;
- Process bi-weekly payroll for unionized and non-unionized personnel, ensuring accuracy in time entry and compliance with relevant legislation;
- Prepare and process all payroll adjustments, as required, such as changes to pay rates, employment status and retroactive payments;
- Maintain accurate payroll records by entering changes in exemptions, banking information, and other payroll related data as required;.
- Investigate and resolve any discrepancies in payroll;
- Complete, verify and process payroll related remittances, including union dues, tax deductions, and pension contributions;
- Prepare payroll related filings and supporting documentation, such as T4s, pension reports, Records of Employment and benefit reporting;
- Assist the Finance department in the internal audit of payroll data;
- Assist personnel and organizational leaders with questions concerning payroll, pension, benefit administration, collective agreements and recruitment and selection processes;
- Identify and recommend efficiencies in payroll and recruiting practices to streamline and standardize processes within the department.
- Post-Secondary Diploma in Business, Human Resources Management, or equivalent;
- One (1) to three (3) years of progressive Human Resources experience;
- Minimum of two (2) years of payroll processing experience, including preparation of bi-weekly payroll files, monthly remittances, ROEs and T4s;
- Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP), Certified Human Resources Leader (CHRL), or Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) considered an asset;
- Working knowledge of human resources policy and practice and relevant human resources and employment-related legislation, including Employment Standards and Human Rights
- Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on attention to detail;
- Recent experience with HRIS, report preparation and data analysis;
- Manage multiple shifting priorities in a timely manner, with accuracy and efficiency;
- Possess excellent interpersonal skills with strong verbal and written communication skills;
- Maintain strict confidentiality and discretion;

- Show proficiency in Google Workspace and Microsoft Office Suite;
- Manage and address inquiries from various individuals on sensitive issues with a focus on positive employee experience;
- Function effectively in a dynamic and collaborative team environment, with the ability to work independently as needed
- Annual Salary Range $58,200 - $72,761
