Job Summary:  

3sHealth (Shared Services Saskatchewan) is seeking a motivated employee to fill a temporary Technical Coordinator position within the Provincial Dictation and Transcription Services Department for a 12-month term. The Technical Coordinator is responsible for building successful relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including physicians, clinicians, and medical transcriptionists, to provide instruction and training on transcription technologies and assist in developing and building appropriate tools and templates.  The Technical Coordinator supports and consults with the provincial transcription team regarding the technical needs of the provincial service and develops and compiles reports and statistics to ensure targets are met.

We are looking for candidates with a background in medical transcription and experience providing customer service, who demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as possessing excellent communication and conflict management skills.

The Technical Coordinator is also responsible for providing first level of support to regional and agency stakeholders, which includes:
•    Analyzing, troubleshooting, and solving end user problems.
•    Using technology to maximize efficiency, effectiveness, and safety.
•    Identifying and implementing process improvements to lower costs and improve service to all regional stakeholders/customers; and 
•    Ensuring compliance with applicable security and privacy standards for transcription.

Experience & Qualifications:  
•    5-year minimum experience as a medical transcriptionist.
•    Customer service experience is an asset.
•    Certificate in medical transcription or equivalent.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:  
•    Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
•    High attention to detail.
•    Highly adept at learning, integrating, and applying new technical skills, knowledge and systems.
•    Ability to consult, engage and interact with internal and external clients to facilitate relationships to meet goals and objectives.
•    Ability to analyze complex situations and environments and produce workable and practical solutions.
•    Ability to interpret technical instructions and communicate same to clients of various technical skill levels.
•    Ability to assume responsibility and work independently.
•    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
•    High level of self-motivation with a customer service focus.
•    Customer focused with the ability to facilitate and encourage cooperation between diverse operational groups and skill sets.
•    Knowledge of lean processes would be considered an asset.
•    Knowledge of, and experience in, the Saskatchewan healthcare environment is an asset.
