Job Description: The Speech Language Pathologist - Masters is responsible for assessing and treating pediatric patients in assigned service areas, maintaining accurate patient documentation, and participating in program planning required and providing clinical supervision of Speech Language Pathologist Assistants and Speech Language Pathology students. The Speech Language Pathologist - Masters reports directly to Speech Language Pathologist - Masters - Senior and the Manager. "Preference for this position will be given to HSAS members in accordance with the terms and conditions of the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement"

Education

  • Master of Speech Language Pathology (SLP)

Licenses

  • Valid Class 5 driver's license
  • Basic Life Support Certificate (BLS)

Memberships

  • College of Speech-Language Pathologists & Audiologists of Saskatchewan (CSASK)

  • Ability to communicate effectively with all internal and external contacts.
  • Ability to be resourceful
  • Requires concentration and attention for resident/patient assessment 
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a multi-disciplinary team
  • Multidimensional thinking and planning is essential
  • Ability to plan, organize/coordinate efforts with other team members
  • Initiative & judgment to plan implement/modify treatment programs for clients
  • Demonstrates effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to collect, record, report comprehensive client information accurately
  • Requires knowledge in pediatric development, assessment and treatment
  • Ability to integrate ideas into a team treatment approach
  • Requires coping skills to work w/clients dealing with stress/psychosocial issues
  • Ability to adapt to changing conditions
  • Requires concentration and attention for treatment, teaching and report writing
