Job Description: The Research Specialist serves as a resource to departments and staff of the Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) that are interested in or are engaged in clinical and/or operational health research. The position is responsible for coordinating research related activities, providing guidance and offering a competitive edge on all aspects of research including research ethics, research design, statistics and knowledge translation. Key tasks include: Assisting in developing, implementing and disseminating clinical and operational health research; Providing research support to locally based Academic Health Sciences Learners and Residents; Supporting the organization and implementation of SHA sponsored research conferences, workshop and seminars, as required; Collaborating with staff, physicians, and patient and family advisors throughout all aspects of the research process; Providing specialized expertise and services in proposal development, including substantive grant editing.

Experience
- 3-5 years experience in health services/clinical research or program evaluation
Licenses
- Valid Class 5 driver's license
Other Education and Training
- Masters in a health related field
- Licensed, and in good standing, with regulatory body, if applicable
- Undergraduate degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience
