Job Description: Provincial Contracts Specialists are responsible for performing various key functions within the Chief Medical Officer portfolio. The Specialist will provide provincial expertise to the design and development of physician contracts and compensation policy and standard work to the Saskatchewan Health Authority and with stakeholders within the University of Saskatchewan, College of Medicine, the Ministries of Health and Education and Saskatchewan Medical Association. Reporting to the Manager, Practitioner Staff Affairs - Provincial Contracts, the Specialist will provide expert research advice in support of recommendations and in negotiation of provincial physician contracts, compensation, service agreements, policies and standard work. The Specialist demonstrates strong leadership to enable an innovative and positive working climate and a client-centric culture. The Specialist must work cross functionally within the portfolio and across the organization to support operations. The Specialist will develop partnerships and work closely with system and community partners.
Human Resources Exemption: No
Experience
- Experience in contract management and/or working with Physicians is an asset
- 3-5 years' experience in health care administration in progressive positions
Education
- Degree or diploma in Business, Human resource management or project management
Licenses
- Valid Class 5 driver's license
Other Education and Training
- Undergraduate degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Licensed, and in good standing, with regulatory body, if applicable
