Job Description: Clinical Excellence & Stewardship Specialists are responsible for performing various key functions within the Quality, Safety & Strategy portfolio. The Clinical Excellence & Stewardship Specialist is a provincial role within Clinical Excellence & Stewardship. The Specialist provides various key functions such as project scoping and management, research, quality improvement, data analytics and clinician practice and program performance reports. Specialists provide coaching to leaders across the province. The activities drive the following programs within Clinical Excellence & Stewardship: Appropriateness of Care, Clinical Quality Improvement Program (CQIP), Transfusion Safety, Antimicrobial and Opioid Stewardship programs, Clinical Pathways and Clinician Reports. The Specialist works cross-functionally across the organization and with external stakeholders and develops partnerships that seek to truly understand the challenges and strategies of those they serve. This role functions in a patient centred manner.

Experience

  • 3 years experience in combination of analytics, quality/continuous improvement
  • Experience in change management

Education

  • Undergraduate degree or diploma in a health related field

Licenses

  • Valid Class 5 driver's license

Other Education and Training

  • Advanced statistics and research methods training
  • Licensed, and in good standing, with regulatory body, if applicable
  • Undergraduate degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience
