Job Description: Under the direction of the Manager, the Social Worker is supervised by the MSW SR on the multi-disciplinary team. As a member of a multi-disciplinary team within Youth Mental Health & Addictions Services, the MSW provides mental health therapy to youth and families presenting with a range of disorders. The MSW provides brief & multi-session individual and family therapy to address mental health problems and disorders in adolescents. The Social worker also facilitates group therapy for adolescents and parents and collaborates with other members of the multi-disciplinary team. The Social worker also collaborates with other health providers and agencies as part of the treatment process. Periodically, the Social Worker also assists with program planning, quality improvement initiatives and clinical supervision of practicum students. "Preference for this position will be given to HSAS members in accordance with the terms and conditions of the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement"
