Job Description: Under the supervision of the Manager of Primary Health, this position will work as part of the interprofessional schools program to provide support to children ages 3-8 in the context of their school or pre-kindergarten setting. The incumbent provides support to the children's families, direction in regard to behavioural management and parenting strategies and supportive counselling. The children and their families may have multiple and complex needs which may result in referrals to community agencies/resources or to primary health interprofessional schools program for further assessment/therapy. This position will have an office located at St. Paul's Hospital but will work primarily out of St. Maria Goretti Community School, Princess Alexandra Community School and Pleasant Hill Community School. Supervision for this position will be provided by Primary Health - Interprofessional Schools Program. "Preference for this position will be given to HSAS members in accordance with the terms and conditions of the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement"
