Job Description: Reporting to the Manager, the Social Worker (BSW Senior) preforms in the role of the Community Coordinator for Suicide Prevention and provides a vital link between the North West partners, the Ministry of Health and the Mental Health Commission of Canada (MHCC) project team, assisting in facilitating the development and implementation of the Suicide Prevention Research Demonstration Project in the North West region of Saskatchewan as well as the sustainability of the suicide prevention services demonstrated to be effective during the project. The role of the BSW Senior is dynamic, and changes as necessary to provide local leadership, link to national aspects and align with the current phase(s) in the five-year project. The BSW Senior assists with local budget planning and expenditure monitoring throughout the project. The incumbent has daily contact with members of the Mental Health team, with employees, managers, stakeholders and members of the public.

• Leader who has developed planning and programs in multi-stakeholder environment

• Bachelor of Social Work (BSW)

• This is a regional position covering the communities of Buffalo Narrows, Ile a la Crosse, La Loche and surrounding areas. The office location is currently based in Buffalo Narrows but other locations as base of operation located in the Northwest region may be considered.
