Job Description: The Specialist, First Nations and Métis Relations works closely with the Manager & Director in providing key guidance in implementation of the strategic directions set out by SHA ELT, SHA Board of Directors, Ministry of Health and external First Nations and Métis partners/stakeholders. The Specialist supports strategy through the development and execution of provincial operational and business plans. The Specialist must work cross functionally within the provincial portfolio and across the organization to support operations and promote their strategy. The Specialist will work closely with provincial system leaders,physicians, educational institutions and community partners. The Specialist is responsible for delivering the Ministry of Health's and SHA's priorities into key actions throughout the province and throughout all SHA portfolios.

Experience
- 3-5 years' experience in a related area
- Experience working with First Nations and Metis communities and organizations
- Three (3) years experience working with cross-cultural environments
Education
- Undergraduate degree or diploma in a health related field
Licenses
- Valid Class 5 driver's license
Other Education and Training
- Undergraduate degree in Health or Social Sciences
- Undergraduate degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Licensed, and in good standing, with regulatory body, if applicable
