Job Description

Under the direction of the Manager of Nursing, the RN will be responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of patient care in the Intensive Care Unit.

Job Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor Degree/Diploma in Nursing
  • Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Critical Care Nursing Certificate
  • Registered or eligible for registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Saskatchewan (CRNS)

Experience
Equivalent critical care experience may be considered.

  • NOTE: This is a Provincial Posting and is open to all SUN members within the bargaining unit as per Articles 27.02 and 27.05 of the SUN Collective Bargaining Agreement. First preference will be given to employees of the SKHA (Saskatoon) and its affiliated agencies.

EQUIVALENT CRITICAL CARE EXPERIENCE WILL BE CONSIDERED. IF YOU HAVE NOT COMPLETED THE CRITICAL CARE COURSE AND ARE INTERESTED IN PURSUING THE TRAINING, PLEASE CONTACT THE MANAGER OR HUMAN RESOURCES. The Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) requires a criminal record check (CRC) from every potential SHA team member. The CRC must be dated within the past six (6) months and be satisfactory to the SHA.
