Salary: $22.02 to $23.55 (3 step range)

Profile Description: Provides activities to enhance the holistic care of clients / patients/ residents quality of life (mental, emotional, physical, spiritual, and cultural). 

Job Description: Planning, organizing, and delivering activities and events, and adjusting these events according to the residents care plans and needs. Assisting the residents with daily living i.e. feeding, dressing, and personal care when required, performing errands for the residents, driving the handi-van, arranging transportation for activity, purchase activity/craft material and supplies and maintaining records. Administrative duties such as maintaining activity bank account, attendance records, managing the volunteers, working with the auxiliary in fund raising events, leading resident council meetings.

Experience:

 Twelve (12) months previous experience in a health care environment preferred but not required.

Education: 

Grade 12

Licenses: 

Valid driver’s license

Other Education and Training: 

Continuing care assistant certificate. If you do not have your CCA certificate you will be required to   achieve the CCA Certificate within 2 years of hire or risk termination.
