Job Description: Privacy and Access Specialists are responsible for performing various key functions within the Infrastructure, Information & Support (IIS) portfolio. Privacy and Access Specialist will deliver privacy and access services: provide subject matter expertise with respect to privacy investigations, privacy audits, privacy assessments and access to information requests. Specialists are required to provide expertise in managing and supporting complex matters involving numerous stakeholders and various privacy implications. Provide guidance, expertise and support to business units as they develop their business strategies and operational plans. The Specialist will work within the complex and challenging health care environment to manage highly sensitive privacy and access issues, requiring timely resolution. Specialist will assess requests to ensure the most effective approach, tools and resources are used to meet the unique requirements of each situation.

Experience
- Five (5) years experience in health care
- Experience in conducting investigations
- Experience in applicable legislation and standards
Education
- Business Administration diploma (DBA)
- Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA)
- Undergraduate degree or diploma in Health Sciences related studies
- Undergraduate degree or diploma in liberal arts
- Information Access and the Protection of Privacy certificate (IAPP)
Licenses
- Valid Class 5 driver's license
Other Education and Training
- Undergraduate degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Licensed, and in good standing, with regulatory body, if applicable
