Salary or Pay Band: Commensurate with education & experience per SGEU Instructional Grid

Job Description: Southeast College is currently recruiting one faculty position in the Practical Nursing program, based in Weyburn.

Key Duties:
•    Deliver instruction as outlined in the Practical Nursing curriculum
•    Foster a classroom environment conducive to adult learning
•    Assist with setup and takedown of simulation labs
•    Teach, coach, and supervise students in classroom, simulation, and clinical settings
•    Evaluate student progress, provide feedback, administer exams, record attendance, and tabulate marks
•    Participating in program-related activities
•    Collaborate with and provide coverage for part-time faculty as needed
•    Perform other duties as assigned

Travel Required:  NA

Education: 
•    Bachelor’s degree in nursing or a related field
•    Current TLR certificate

Licenses
•    Current registration (active status) with CRNs or RPNAS

Knowledge and Abilities
•    Minimum of two years’ recent clinical/teaching experience (medical-surgical and/or pediatric-obstetrical nursing)
•    Ability to apply the theory, practices and principles of the science of nursing and adult education
•    Small group facilitation skills and leading, modeling and teaching interaction skills
•    Well-developed interpersonal and oral communications skills
•    Demonstrates valuing diversity
•    Establish and maintain productive working relationships with all stakeholders
•    Ability to effectively use computer software and technology to support teaching and learning
