Job Description: Provides intensive case management to individuals with chronic and persistent mental illness. These services are provided within an individual and/or group context.

Education
- Bachelor of Psychiatric Nursing (BPN)
Licenses
- Valid Class 5 driver's license
Other Education and Training
- Bachelor of Nursing is acceptable
- Psychiatric Nursing diploma is acceptable
- Nursing diploma is acceptable

Knowledge and Abilities
- Ability to document in a concise and timely manner
- Ability to identify, implement and evaluate areas of client difficulty.
- Knowledge of the Mental Health Services Act
- Ability to manage a complex caseload with multiple demands
- Knowledge of assessment, triage, treatment and case management.
- Knowledge in change management
- Ability to design, initiate and conduct training for other professionals
- Provide public education regarding child and adolescent mental health concerns
- Knowledge of community resources including treatment programs & support agencies
- Ability to work independently and as a member of a multi-disciplinary team
- Knowledge in normal child and adolescent development and psychopathology
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to enter and retrieve data in computer database systems
- Demonstrates effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of Health Information Protection Act and other legislation.
- Formulate evidence based intervention
- Ability to prioritize work
- Knowledge in community psychiatric nursing practice
- Knowledge in various intervention strategies for individuals and groups
- Knowledge of the diversity of cultures, values and traditions
