    Job Description: Reporting to the Manager, the Clinical Resource Nurse (CRN) is responsible for promoting the Mission, Vision and Values of the Saskatchewan Health Authority through the provision of safe quality nursing care to clients. The Clinical Resource Nurse educates, mentors and supports unit staff, promotes patient safety, occupational health and safety and quality improvement on the unit.

    Experience
    • 5 years recent emergency dept experience including triage/coordinator/educator
    • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN)
    • Canadian Nurses Association certification is preferred
    • Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certificate (ACLS)
    • Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC)
    • Basic Life Support Certificate (BLS)
    • Advanced - Demonstrates leadership skills
    • Advanced - Sound clinical judgment skills
    • Advanced - Critical thinking skills
    • Evidence of clinical leadership ability is an asset
    • Ability to facilitate teamwork is essential
    • Application of adult learning principles
    • Demonstrated ability to integrate research based theory into practice
    • An understanding of models of nursing care is an asset
    • Knowledge of role of Emergency Department in the health system 
    • Demonstrates knowledge to assess and manage acute and chronically ill patients
    • Ability to initiate and exercise critical thinking and decision-making
    • Demonstrates expertise in medical nursing
    • Ability to perform technical emergency nursing duties with skill and competence
    • Has demonstrated strong interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Ability to adapt to and implement change
    • Ability to establish and maintain effective work relationships.
    • Commitment to continued learning and professional development.
