Job Description: Reporting to the Manager, Maternal & Children's Clinical Integration, the Pediatric Outreach Coordinator is responsible for the development, coordination, implementation and evaluation of Maternal and Children's Provincial Programs education, quality improvement, clinical benchmarks, safety, and service delivery initiatives.

Experience
- Minimum of three (3) years of recent experience in pediatric nursing
- One (1) year experience developing/implementing/evaluating programs/resources
- One (1) year of experience in adult education or a teaching role
Education
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN)
Licenses
- Valid Class 5 driver's license
Other Education and Training
- Advanced pediatric training/cert and instructor trainer cert preferred
- Master level of Nursing, Education or Health Administration, is an asset.

- Clinical knowledge and skill set to support maternal/child policies & procedures
- Knowledge in principles of adult education

- Ability able to build and maintain relationships based on trust.
- Demonstrated ability to assess learning needs of clinicians
- Knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to support the creation of clinical & standard work, educational modules
- Ability to facilitate groups to achieve deliverables
- Knowledge in developing policies, procedures and standards
- Aware of support resources for SHA staff related to mat/child standards of care
- Knowledge in evidence based research
- The ability to conduct needs assessments & develop & deliver presentations.
- Ability to coach/guide improvement initiatives related to achieving benchmarks
- Physical ability to perform the duties of the position
- Ability to prioritize, interpret and respond to issues in a timely manner
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to operate related equipment & carry out the duties of the position
