Job Description: As a member of a multidisciplinary primary health care team, the Mental Health Therapist-Staff is responsible for providing general mental health and substance use services to patients, including screening, assessment and brief intervention using various established screen tools, treatment modalities and techniques based on best available evidence. The incumbent must have strong proven clinical skills and be able to make independent clinical decisions. Access to a clinical supervisor is limited. The incumbent will also participate in the evaluation of counseling services, in the development of referral processes and assist in the development of policy and procedures relevant to the Mental Health Therapist-Staff position. "Preference for this position will be given to HSAS members in accordance with the terms and conditions of the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement"

  • Bachelor of Social Work (BSW)
