Job Description: THE HEALTH PROMOTION COORDINATOR IS ACCOUNTABLE FOR THE PLANNING, DEVELOPMENT, COORDINATION, DELIVERY AND EVALUATION OF HEALTH PROMOTION ACTIVITIES WITHIN THE PRINCE ALBERT PARKLAND HEALTH REGION. THE INCUMBENT WORKS AS A MEMBER OF A TEAM OF HEALTH PROFESSIONALS WHO PROVIDE THESE SERVICES USING A COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT APPROACH. THE HEALTH PROMOTION COORDINATOR FUNCTIONS LARGELY OUTSIDE THE WALLS OF ANY ONE SITE/AGENCY. THE WORK IS VERY COMPREHENSIVE AND DIVERSE IN NATURE, EVIDENT BY THE LARGE NUMBER OF INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL CONTACTS. SIGNIFICANT TRAVEL IS REQUIRED WITHIN THE REGION. THE POSITION RELIES ON STRONG INDEPENDENCE AND SELF-DIRECTION. THE OPPORTUNITIES FOR SUPPORT ARE FOUND NOT ON ANY ONE SITE BUT NEED TO BE CREATED WITH COLLEAGUES ACROSS THE SYSTEM.
